uc Faller, comes from a wine-grower family. When he was younger, he used to work with his father in the vineyard and he naturaly took over the estate in 1989.

He immediately stopped using chemicals in the vineyard as he wasn’t convinced by the consistency of this way of cultivation. Using weed-killer would reduce de facto life in the soil, as a consequence the vine isn’t able to naturally feed correctly, thus you have to bring chemical fertilizer etc … For a result that is always unbalanced because of Humans interventions. It was out of the question to pollute soils, environment, wines and people, to disrupt the entire ecosystem.

Even if it involved more work he chose to work the vineyard in organic culture from the beginning. Biodynamy came later. When his wife Myriam joined him in 1993, they started to think about it and to experiment it. They began the certification process later, in 2007 for the organic culture label and in 2010 for the biodynamic one.
